Love scenes can be difficult to portray on the page. It would be leagues easier if we could simply include a picture and let the reader come to their own conclusion, but then, the author’s fictional romance novel would become a non-fiction sex manual. Scratch that idea!

It’s my job to make you, the reader, feel what my characters feel. My words need to put you there as he nibbles, and licks, and sucks on the tender flesh of her neck, marking her with his teeth—not caring if she has to wear a turtleneck in ninety-degree heat to cover the damage he has done, lest she be called the office ho bag. Ha!

I would love to be able to give you a sneak peek at my manuscript, but it’s a bit too early. I will, however, keep you up on my progress in bringing the last of the professional edits to fruition. It’s a laborious process, but writing is not for sissies.

In closing, did you happen to notice the quote written in script across the video above? “Her kisses left something to be desired…the rest of her.”  I’d love to claim it as my own, but instead, I wish to thank beautiful-love-quotes.com.

 Until the next time,
